Israeli army builds new roads linking military posts in southern Lebanon
The Israeli military is constructing new roads connecting its military posts in southern Lebanon, according to Anadolu Agency. The infrastructure work suggests a continued or consolidated military presence in the area despite the ceasefire arrangement with Hezbollah. The development is likely to draw attention given ongoing tensions over Israel's positions inside Lebanese territory and calls for withdrawal.
Why now: It signals a continued Israeli military footprint in southern Lebanon, a sensitive point in the fragile ceasefire with Hezbollah.
