Verstappen and Lawson hit with grid penalties after practice clash
Original: liam lawson f1
Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson have both received grid drops following a clash during practice at the latest Formula 1 round. Stewards penalised the pair after their on-track incident, meaning both drivers will start the race further back than their qualifying positions suggested. The penalty shapes the race strategy for both Red Bull-affiliated drivers and is drawing attention ahead of the grand prix.
Why now: Grid penalties for two high-profile drivers immediately change expectations for the upcoming race.
