The Physics Problem With Tesla's Flying Car
A popular science channel is running a video examining the physics behind the idea of a Tesla flying car, arguing that the concept runs into fundamental problems such as energy density, lift and power requirements that make such a vehicle impractical with current battery technology. Viewers are debating in the comments whether Elon Musk could actually pull off a flying car or whether the laws of physics rule it out entirely.
Why now: Ongoing speculation about Tesla's future products, with a science explainer challenging the feasibility of a flying car, is drawing large audiences.
