Radio Europe 2 broadcast explores how cultures imagine ghosts
Original: Fantômes : représentation d’Europe 2 Documenter la réalité des fantômes, c’est donc explorer la manière dont chaque cult
Europe 2 aired a programme on ghosts, arguing that documenting ghost beliefs is really about exploring how each culture represents death, memory and debt to those who came before. The segment notes that answers vary across societies, from the ancient Greeks onward, while the question itself is universal. The cultural and philosophical framing has drawn attention for treating hauntings as folklore and collective memory rather than the supernatural.
Why now: The broadcast's cross-cultural take on ghosts is circulating as an unusually thoughtful piece on a popular topic.
