Authors Discuss Halloween Traditions in Their Fictional Worlds
Original: # PennedPossibilities 1172: Halloween Edition: Does your universe have Samhain, Halloween, All Hallows’ Eve, or somethin
Writers are taking part in a recurring prompt asking whether their fictional universes include Samhain, Halloween or All Hallows' Eve. One fantasy author noted that the world of Kaledon in her multiverse series has no such holiday, while her Earth-set characters do celebrate Samhain. The discussion highlights how authors weave seasonal traditions into worldbuilding.
Why now: The Halloween season has prompted writers to compare how they handle the holiday in their invented worlds.

- # PennedPossibilities 1172: Halloween Edition: Does your universe have Samhain, Halloween, All Hallows’ Eve, or something similar? The universe of Kaledon in my multiverse fantasy Blades does not. The characters in my books set on Earth, however, tend to celebrate Samhain. #… · TiffanyEAuthor@poweredbygay.social · 3
