At a stage greeting for the animated film "Ghost: Yonohate" held on November 1 at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya as part of the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival, lead voice actress Mayu Hotta revealed the director gave her the unusual instruction to perform her lines in a flat, monotone style. The band Hitsujibungaku, which provides the theme and insert songs, praised her vocal performance.
Why now: The unusual directing choice and the film's premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival are drawing attention to the anime and its voice cast.
