Ten Hag says Ronaldo's decline began at Juventus
Original: Erik ten Hag questions Cristiano Ronaldo's fitness, ability at Man United: 'From Juventus onwards it's simply over'
Erik ten Hag has publicly questioned Cristiano Ronaldo's fitness and ability during his time at Manchester United, saying the forward's decline set in "from Juventus onwards". The blunt assessment from the Dutch manager reignites discussion of their turbulent spell together at Old Trafford and Ronaldo's late-career form.
Why now: Ten Hag's unusually blunt public criticism of Ronaldo's fitness is striking given their past conflict at United.
