Canada rejects Trump's trade terms, will wait for next US president

Original: 🔴 BREAKING Canada Rejects Trump's Trade Terms in Favor of Waiting for New US President Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carn

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada is refusing trade terms imposed by Donald Trump and would rather wait for the next US president, in a clear signal of Ottawa's stance toward Washington. The statement underscores growing friction in Canada-US trade relations, with Carney framing the decision as a defence of Canadian interests rather than accepting conditions seen as unfavourable.

Why now: Canada's public refusal of US trade terms is a significant escalation in bilateral trade tensions.
