F1 fans plot Lance Stroll Driver of the Day campaign

Original: f1 driver of the day

Formula 1 fans are organizing a coordinated effort to vote Lance Stroll as Driver of the Day at the Mexican Grand Prix. The joke campaign, circulating among fans online, would see the Aston Martin driver win the fan-voted award regardless of his on-track performance. Similar satirical voting drives have targeted the award before, and the stunt is gaining attention ahead of race day in Mexico City.

Why now: Fans are amused by the idea of hijacking the fan vote to award Driver of the Day to Lance Stroll as a joke at the Mexican Grand Prix.
