Original: f1 driver of the day
Formula 1 fans have been organising to vote Lance Stroll as Driver of the Day at the Mexico City Grand Prix, reportedly as a joke or protest. The sport could now intervene to block the plan, according to F1 Oversteer. The story is drawing attention across Australia, the UK and the US.
Why now: A coordinated fan voting campaign targeting Stroll has prompted talk that Formula 1 may step in to stop it.
