American tennis player Ben Shelton is set to bring former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero onto his coaching team, the ATP Tour has confirmed. Ferrero, best known for guiding Carlos Alcaraz to multiple Grand Slam titles, joins the 23-year-old American's corner as Shelton looks to build on his breakthrough seasons and push deeper into the tour's top ranks.

Why now: Ferrero is one of the most respected coaches in tennis after his success with Alcaraz, so his move to work with Shelton is major news in the sport.
