Xolo dogs parade through Mexico City for Day of the Dead
Original: Mexico Day of the Dead Xolo Dog Parade
Mexico City held its annual Day of the Dead dog parade, where owners dressed their xoloitzcuintli dogs, Mexico's ancient hairless breed, in costumes and floral decorations. The xolo holds deep cultural meaning in Mexican tradition, believed in Aztec lore to guide souls through the underworld, making the breed a natural fit for Día de los Muertos celebrations.
Why now: The parade is part of Mexico's Day of the Dead season, when the country's celebrations draw international attention each year.
