Is Trump a Democrat or a Republican?
Original: is trump a democrat or republican
Donald Trump is a Republican and currently serves as the US president, having won the 2024 election as the party's nominee. He earlier registered as a Democrat and switched party affiliation several times over the decades, which keeps the question circulating online. Interest is being fed by coverage of coming political battles, including pieces on a possible Democratic blue wave testing Trump in his final two years and warnings that things could turn ugly in Washington.
Why now: Political coverage about midterms and Trump's final two years in office is prompting people to double-check his party affiliation.
