Iran Claims It Forced Down a US Spy Plane
Original: 'Got Trump By The...': Iran Hijacks US Military Spy Plane, Forcefully Lands It In Iran | Vantage
Reports and commentary circulating online claim Iran intercepted a United States military surveillance aircraft and forced it to land inside Iran, with the story framed under taunting headlines aimed at President Trump. Firstpost's Vantage programme is covering the alleged incident. There is no confirmation from US officials, and the details of the reported hijacking remain unverified.
Why now: Tensions between Iran and the United States are high, and an alleged forced landing of an American military aircraft would be a major escalation.
