London police say 325 arrested, mostly over Palestine Action support

The Metropolitan Police said on Sunday that 325 arrests were made, 320 of them for expressing support for a proscribed organisation under the Terrorism Act. The figures relate to Palestine Action, which was proscribed by the UK government in July 2025. At least 4,000 arrests have been made in connection with the group since then, making the crackdown one of the largest in recent UK history.
Why now: The scale of arrests for supporting a proscribed group is drawing criticism and raising concerns about civil liberties and the breadth of the Terrorism Act.
