BBC segment on the myth of race recirculates online
Original: while exploring Invidious as a Youtube workaround, i came across this short # BBC segment The Myth of Race, about "race"
A short BBC segment, "The Myth of Race", is being shared again on Mastodon after a user came across it while testing Invidious, an alternative front-end for YouTube. The poster says the segment shows how scientifically empty racist ideas are, framing human "race" as a biological myth rather than a valid category. Engagement so far is modest, with a small number of likes, but the science-versus-racism framing is what gives the clip its resonance.
Why now: People keep sharing material that debunks race as a biological concept, especially when racism is prominent in public debate.
Rank over time, top of the chart is #1. 50 snapshots from 2 d ago to 51 min ago.
