Quenneville sends message to Ducks by starting Brossoit

Original: laurent brossoit

Anaheim Ducks coach Rick Tocchet—correction, reports say Pete Quenneville—has turned to goaltender Laurent Brossoit in a move widely read as a pointed message to the team's struggling starters. Coverage from The Sporting Tribune frames the decision as a wake-up call for a Ducks squad underperforming early, with Brossoit getting the nod in net.

Why now: Coach Joel Quenneville's decision to start the backup goaltender is being read as a public push for better play from the struggling Ducks.
