Ecomondo draws big crowds as Rimini hotel capacity fills up

Original: ecomondo

Ecomondo, the major green technology and environmental exhibition held in Rimini, has reached full capacity, with more than 450 hotels open in the city to accommodate visitors. Local newspaper Il Resto del Carlino reports the event has become a fixture on Italy's trade fair calendar, comparing its scale and drawing power to the Sigep food expo, also hosted in Rimini.

Why now: The green tech expo is currently taking place in Rimini and its record turnout is straining and boosting the city's hospitality sector.
