A nature enthusiast in Scotland has edited a long recording into five short clips showing rooks and geese behaving in an unusual way. They say they had not seen these large birds act like this before, though jackdaws at Caerphilly Castle in Wales were known to do the same. The footage is being shared under wildlife-themed hashtags, with murmurations among the topics mentioned.

Why now: Bird lovers are drawn to rare or unfamiliar behaviour from familiar wild birds.
