Democrats are projected for victory in US elections, a result being described as an embarrassing night for Donald Trump. Polling cited in reporting pointed to wins for the party, with the outcome framed as a rebuke of the President and his Republican allies. The races are being watched as an early test of voter sentiment since Trump returned to the White House.
