Original: jorge

Supporters of President Lula have launched a campaign calling for a boycott of the Jorge e Mateus show at Recife's New Year's Eve celebration. The push follows comments by singer Jorge expressing support for Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. The campaign has been dubbed the 'boycott of love' by local coverage, and discussion of the controversy is spreading across Brazil.

Why now: A political boycott campaign against a major sertanejo duo's New Year's Eve performance in Recife is generating heated debate between supporters of Lula and Bolsonaro.
