Seoul dismisses Zelenskyy's secret POW transfer claim as plea for support
Original: South Korea says Zelenskyy's revelation of a secret POW transfer was likely a play for more support
South Korea's government said Volodymyr Zelenskyy's disclosure of a secret prisoner-of-war transfer was likely an attempt to secure more international support for Ukraine. The remark adds a new wrinkle to wartime diplomacy, with Seoul publicly questioning the Ukrainian president's motives in revealing the exchange. Details of the alleged transfer and South Korea's full assessment remain limited.
Why now: A government publicly questioning Zelenskyy's motives over a sensitive wartime disclosure is unusual and politically charged.
