80-Year-Old Russian Tank Travels 9,000 Km to Ukrainian Front, Then Destroyed by Drone
Original: An 80-Year-Old Russian Tank Traveled 9,000 Km to the Front—Then a Ukrainian Drone Found It
A tank reportedly around 80 years old was brought some 9,000 kilometers by Russia to the front in Ukraine, only to be spotted and struck by a Ukrainian drone. Reports highlight how Russia is pulling vintage armor out of storage and museums as losses mount, and how drones now destroy even decades-old equipment soon after it arrives at the battlefield.
Why now: The contrast between the massive journey and the tank's swift destruction by a cheap drone underscores how drones are reshaping the battlefield and Russia's reliance on obsolete armor.
