Pele: open source library turns Mermaid diagrams into themed SVG

Original: Pele : une bibliothèque open source qui transforme vos diagrammes Mermaid en SVG, thémés avec de simples variables CSS.

A developer has released Pele, an open source library that converts Mermaid diagrams into SVG that can be themed with simple CSS variables. Colours change between light and dark modes without re-rendering. The library weighs about 230 kB gzipped, compared with 1.6 MB for Mermaid.js, and has no dependencies.

Why now: Developers interested in lightweight, themable diagram rendering are picking up on the new library's small size and CSS-based theming
