Man finds his family tomb illegally occupied by another body
Original: loculo
A man in Naples went to a cemetery and discovered his family's burial vault had been occupied by another body without authorisation. The case has drawn attention to complaints about mismanagement in Italian municipal cemeteries, with a similar story in Foggia about a local council neglecting graves and the remains of the dead, fuelling debate over accountability.
Why now: Local reports about cemetery mismanagement in Naples and Foggia are circulating in Italy.
