CSU Faculty Signal Readiness for Strike Over Contract Dispute
Original: Why some CSU faculty are ready for a strike: 'The last contract sucked'
Faculty across the California State University system are voicing readiness to strike, with some bluntly dismissing the previous labor agreement as inadequate. The discontent centers on contract terms union members consider poor, and the possibility of a work stoppage is now being openly discussed as negotiations over a new contract continue. The dispute affects one of the largest university systems in the United States.
Why now: Ongoing contract negotiations between CSU management and faculty have raised the prospect of a strike.
