Apple to integrate Alibaba's Qwen AI into Apple Intelligence

Original: ios 27.3

Alibaba's Qwen AI model is set to be integrated into Apple Intelligence in a major partnership with Apple, according to a report by Qazinform. The move would bring Alibaba's large language model into Apple's AI features, likely for the Chinese market where foreign AI services face regulatory restrictions. It marks a notable shift in Apple's AI strategy, partnering with a Chinese provider rather than relying solely on Western models.

Why now: Reports of a major Apple-Alibaba AI partnership are fresh and signal a significant shift in Apple's AI strategy for China.
