LGBTQ+ Pastoral Ministry Finds a Spiritual Home in Sicily
Original: A Spiritual Home in the Church: LGBTQ+ Pastoral Ministry in Sicily
A report from New Ways Ministry highlights the growth of LGBTQ+ pastoral ministry in Sicily, describing it as a spiritual home for LGBTQ+ Catholics within the Church. The coverage points to local efforts offering pastoral care and community to a group that has often felt marginalised, and it is drawing attention in discussions about the Catholic Church's approach to LGBTQ+ faithful.
Why now: Ongoing debate over the Catholic Church's pastoral outreach to LGBTQ+ Catholics makes this regional example notable.
