Yakuza creator's Nagoshi Studio shuts down, Gang of Dragon cancelled

Original: Yakuza creator's new studio and its debut game Gang of Dragon are no more after losing funding from NetEase Nagoshi Stud

Nagoshi Studio, founded by Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, has officially shut down following the withdrawal of funding from Chinese publisher NetEase. Its debut game, Gang of Dragon, a Yakuza-like open-world title, is no longer moving forward. The closure comes months after the publisher pulled financial support, leaving the studio unable to continue development.

Why now: The sudden collapse of a high-profile studio founded by the creator of the popular Yakuza series, backed by a major publisher, has drawn attention from gamers and industry watchers.
