EasyJet jet lands through striking sundog over Belfast
Original: EasyJet on final approach to Belfast City Airport through a sundog ๐๐ # aviation # aircraft # flight # travel # weather
An EasyJet passenger aircraft was photographed on final approach to Belfast City Airport passing through a sundog, an atmospheric optical effect caused by sunlight refracting through ice crystals in the air. Aviation and weather enthusiasts are sharing the image, praising the unusual rainbow-like glow around the landing aircraft.
Why now: The rare combination of a landing aircraft and a vivid sundog makes for striking photography that aviation and weather fans enjoy sharing.
