Rust-based window switcher for macOS launches on Hacker News
Original: Show HN: Rust based window switcher for macOS
A developer has released AltTabr, a window switcher for macOS written in Rust, sharing it with the Hacker News community. The tool lets users quickly switch between open application windows, a feature macOS lacks natively compared to Windows or Linux alt-tab behaviour. Early reactions are modest so far, with the project drawing a small but engaged response as users evaluate whether it improves on existing alternatives.
Why now: Developer tool launches on Hacker News attract attention when they promise to fill a gap in macOS functionality, and Rust projects draw interest from the language's growing community.
