Shapovalov retires against Khachanov in Paris

Original: Shapovalov retires against Khachanov in Paris despite leading 4-1 in the third set

Denis Shapovalov retired from his Paris match against Karen Khachanov despite leading 4-1 in the third set, cutting short what had looked like a comeback in the making. The mid-match withdrawal is the main talking point, with attention on the Canadian's fitness and what prompted him to stop while ahead on the scoreboard.

Why now: The unexpected retirement while leading the deciding set is surprising and raises concern about Shapovalov's condition.
