South of Midnight Director Questions Xbox's Decision to Fund the Game
Original: South of Midnight Director Says He Doesn’t Think Xbox Should Have Funded It https:// kotaku.com/creative-director-s ays-
The creative director of South of Midnight, the action game developed by Compulsion Games, has said he does not believe Xbox should have funded the project. His remarks suggest internal doubts about whether the title was a sound investment for Microsoft's gaming division, even though the studio wanted to make it. The comments have drawn attention from gaming outlets and players discussing Microsoft's publishing choices.
Why now: It is unusual for a developer to publicly question whether his own game deserved publisher funding, sparking debate about Xbox's portfolio strategy.
