Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia could take advantage of the US midterm elections to launch a large-scale attack. The warning has sparked anger among some American commentators, who accuse Republicans of enabling Russia and are urging voters to oust them to, in their words, save democracy.
Why now: Zelensky's warning lands just before the US midterms, feeding into heated partisan debate over support for Ukraine.
