A photographer watching from Buck Hill in the Blue Hills Reservation near Boston captured both a sunrise and a sunset on November 2nd, something they describe as a rare treat. With clear conditions in the afternoon, they photographed the sun setting as a distinct disk over the landscape, crediting a lucky alignment of clock, weather and work schedules for making the double shoot possible.
Why now: Clear autumn weather gave sky watchers around Boston an unusually good sunset, prompting people to share their photos.
