Ultra-Orthodox IDF veteran speaks out in Israel

Original: An extremely viral post in Israel right now! Young Israeli ultra-Orthodox haredi woman who served in the IDF just broke

A young ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) Israeli woman who served in the Israel Defense Forces has publicly broken her silence about her experience, sharing her story in a widely shared post. Her account is drawing intense attention in Israel, where the enlistment of Haredi men and women into military service is one of the country's most divisive political and social debates.

Why now: Military service by ultra-Orthodox Israelis is a highly charged national controversy, so a Haredi woman speaking publicly about serving in the IDF resonates strongly.
