Poland Reports Ukrainians Crossing Back to Ukraine
Original: Poland: Ukrainian Nationals Crossing Back to Ukraine (April - June 2026)
New data from Poland shows Ukrainian nationals crossing back into Ukraine between April and June 2026, a reversal of the wartime westward flow recorded since 2022. The movement is being tracked by humanitarian and border-monitoring sources, and analysts are weighing whether it signals improving conditions in parts of Ukraine, reduced support in Poland, or other pressures on displaced Ukrainians.
Why now: The reversal of refugee movement touches on the state of the war and the durability of support for Ukrainians in Europe.
