Trump orders US agencies to call AI 'super intelligence'

Original: First a gulf, then a lake, now a technology. Trump orders US agencies to call AI ‘super intelligence

President Trump has directed US government agencies to adopt the term 'super intelligence' instead of artificial intelligence, according to The Next Web. The move follows earlier official renaming efforts, including the Gulf of Mexico and a lake, and is drawing commentary about the political framing of AI policy and terminology across federal agencies.

Why now: The unusual directive to rename AI government-wide, echoing earlier Trump naming interventions, is drawing attention and mockery online.
