A digital artist who goes by neuroknives apologized for promoting themselves while asking for more support online, saying health problems have been frightening. They shared a cyberpunk-themed artwork of a succubus character to accompany the appeal and pointed followers to their Patreon page, where people can fund their work. Reactions have been sympathetic, with many agreeing that artists should not have to apologize for asking for help during hard times.
Why now: Health struggles and financial insecurity among independent artists resonate widely, prompting supportive discussion.
