Pakistani Archbishop Proposes Cricket Academy After Youth Tournament
Original: Pakistan Archbishop Proposes Cricket Academy After Diocesan Youth Tournament
A Catholic archbishop in Pakistan has proposed establishing a cricket academy following a diocesan youth tournament. The initiative would give young people, including those from Christian communities, a structured way to develop sporting talent and engage constructively. The proposal follows the success of the church-organised tournament, which brought together youth from across the diocese.
Why now: The archbishop's proposal connects the Church with Pakistan's most popular sport, drawing attention as an unusual youth development initiative.
