Irish bookshops supply Sally Rooney novels to British readers
Original: Irish bookshops are stepping in to meet demand for Sally Rooney’s novels among British readers after her publisher, Fabe
Sally Rooney's UK publisher, Faber, has halted distribution of her books in Britain after she said she would donate her royalties to Palestine Action. Irish bookshops, including Kennys Bookshop in Galway, are now filling the gap, shipping her novels to British readers who can no longer buy them through usual channels.
Why now: The publisher's halt over Rooney's Palestine Action donations has made her books hard to buy in the UK, prompting cross-border workaround talk.
