SEPA chair Lisa Tennant picked to lead England's Environment Agency
Original: SEPA chair Lisa Tennant named preferred candidate to lead England’s Environment Agency
Lisa Tennant, currently chair of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, has been named the preferred candidate to become the next chief executive of England's Environment Agency. The appointment would see her move from Scotland's environmental regulator to head its English counterpart, a significant cross-border move in UK environmental regulation. The candidacy is expected to go through confirmation before she takes up the role.
Why now: The appointment places a Scottish regulator's chair at the top of England's environment watchdog, drawing attention from those following UK environmental policy.
