Taika Waititi's 'Klara and the Sun' Post Draws Criticism
Original: Taika Waititi’s Delusional ‘Klara and the Sun’ Instagram Post Exemplifies the Dangers of a Growing Divide Between Critic
IndieWire reports that Taika Waititi made an Instagram post about his film 'Klara and the Sun' that the outlet calls delusional, arguing it highlights a widening divide between critics and artists in the digital age. The piece frames the episode as an example of how filmmakers' direct social media messaging can clash with critical reception of their work.
Why now: The collision between a prominent director's public self-promotion and negative critical assessment of the film is fueling debate about critics versus artists.
