Google to embed Quick Share into apps for Android and iOS
Original: Peer-to-Peer-Austausch: Google bringt Quick Share in Apps – für Android und iOS Google bohrt Quick Share weiter auf: Ab
Google is expanding Quick Share, its peer-to-peer file-sharing feature, so that from 2027 it can be integrated directly into third-party apps. The function will work across devices on both Android and iOS, letting users share content between phones without leaving an app. The move positions Quick Share as a broader platform feature rather than a simple transfer tool, and could reduce reliance on other sharing services.
Why now: Google's announcement of a cross-platform Quick Share SDK for 2027 is new and affects both Android and iOS users
