Ukraine Seeks Shells for F-16s to Down Jet-Powered Drones
Ukraine is asking Western partners for additional munitions so its F-16 fighters can intercept Russia's increasingly common jet-powered drones, Bloomberg reports. Kyiv has been relying on F-16s to shoot down these faster, harder-to-stop drones, but interceptor shells and ammunition stocks are running low, prompting urgent requests to allies for resupply.
Why now: Russia's use of jet-powered drones is straining Ukraine's air defenses and its allies' ammunition supplies.
