Volunteers urged to support Gaza teachers moving classes online
Original: Did you know you can help schoolteachers in Gaza teach their students online? Amidst catastrophe, including displacement
A call is circulating urging people to help schoolteachers in Gaza continue teaching students online as displacement and the destruction of classrooms disrupt education. Spark, an initiative supporting these virtual lessons, is asking for small weekly or monthly commitments from volunteers, with a reported shortfall of 94 out of 300 needed sign-ups ahead of Sunday. Supporters say even minor contributions of time can keep lessons running.
Why now: A sign-up deadline of Sunday is driving urgent appeals for volunteers this week.
