Developer Alexis Brignoni has released updated versions of the LEAPP family of open-source digital forensics tools: iLEAPP 2026.4.6, ALEAPP, RLEAPP, VLEAPP and DLEAPP at 2026.4.5, and GLEAPP 2026.5.7. All five can now read earlier committed states stored in a SQLite write-ahead log. Other additions include Android bug report parsing in ALEAPP, Grok artifacts in RLEAPP, BMW trail data in VLEAPP, and DPAPI and WMI support.

Why now: Forensics practitioners follow these releases closely because the new SQLite WAL parsing and added artifact support expand what evidence they can recover.
