Architects should be seen as imagination's leading builders
Original: Architects ought to be known as the most imaginative creators of the built (and unbuilt) environment
An opinion piece in The Architect's Newspaper argues that architects should be recognized as the most imaginative creators of both the built and unbuilt environment. The author contends the profession's creative role extends beyond buildings to speculative, unbuilt ideas that shape how cities and spaces are conceived. The piece is prompting discussion within the architecture world about how the profession's identity is publicly understood.
Why now: It challenges how the architecture profession is perceived, sparking debate among designers and critics.
