Donald Trump said the only reason he has not 'finished with' Iran is that he wants to 'be nice', warning that at some point the US may have to act against Tehran. The remarks are circulating alongside claims, echoed in commentary attributed to Tucker Carlson, that a strike on Iran could come within days, possibly in coordination with Israel. Commenters express alarm that the language hints at a nuclear option and say the escalation 'doesn't smell right'.

Why now: Fears that US rhetoric signals an imminent, possibly nuclear, strike on Iran in coordination with Israel.
