Exit polls rebranded as the CNN Voter Poll
Original: cbs news
CNN has renamed its exit polls the CNN Voter Poll for election coverage, describing the change and what it means for how voting data is gathered and presented. The network explains the methodology behind the surveys of voters leaving polling places and how the rebranded poll will be used in its broadcasts. CBS News also features prominently in current election coverage searches.
Why now: Renaming a long-established election-night institution draws attention during a busy news cycle.
